Earlier this year, Fraser Basin Council and Vancity Credit Union did an online survey of small to medium sized enterprises earlier this year. With an impressive volume of respondents and very detailed responses, participants explained their sustainability strategies and the actions they are undertaking.

Participants expressed a need for sustainability-related support and a high level of interest in networking opportunities. Marketing and promotion received the highest scores for the kinds of support desired. There was also considerable interest in gaining access to sustainability related information, resources, and training.

The results of this survey are being used to develop programs that help organizations learn more about sustainability choices, and that support organizations that are making sustainability happen on the ground.
