Social Purpose Real Estate Survey
By Martha A. Burton on October 23, 2012 - 3:16pmThe Real Estate Institute of BC and the Social Purpose Real Estate Collaborative are pleased to announce a research project to benchmark the real estate rates, terms and conditions in which the social purpose/not-for-profit/cultural sector functions in Metro Vancouver.
If you are a non-profit in the social or cultural sector or an independent artist, please complete the survey and help us paint a true picture of the challenges of space and place for community in Metro Vancouver. The results of this research will help inform policy and strengthen support for investment in social purpose real estate.
Though the social purpose/not-for-profit/cultural sector underpins much of the social and economic fabric of our society, there is no real data on the real estate scenarios under which they operate. The sector continues to struggle with affordability, suitability of space, and the tenure ability to retain real estate assets for long-term use.

Please distribute widely, your participation determines the success of this project.
Survey results will be used to inform future policy development and make the case for supporting social purpose real estate in Metro Vancouver.
