Vancity is Canada's largest credit union. Formed in 1946, they haveĀ $14.1 billion in assets, more than 390,000 members and 59 branches throughout Greater Vancouver, the Fraser Valley and Victoria. Vancity is seeking a Senior Vice President of Social Finance.

You are here-at the intersection of financial services and social change. Where financial strength and innovative business strategy create street-level impact in diverse communities. Where the term "making a difference" is not just a catch-phrase, it's part of the DNA of a profitable organization that's committed to a triple bottom line. Where you'll lead a major shift in business focus and inspire your team to contribute to a common vision. You are here. And we welcome you as our new: Senior Vice President, Social Finance

While your roots are in finance and business leadership, your passion shows up in established community relationships and innovative solutions you've generated for NGOs, not-for-profit and business clients alike. Your demonstrated resilience matches that of Vancity's-you've taken measured risks to build a successful business. Your efforts have clearly differentiated your organizations from the competition and created an example for others to hotly pursue.

As our new SVP, Social Finance you will report directly to the CEO as a member of Vancity's Executive Leadership Team. Together you'll infuse our cooperative financial institution with rigorous business practice and channel the energies of financial, corporate and community resources to drive societal benefit while ensuring a thriving enterprise. And most importantly, you'll lead an experienced and talented group of bankers, commercial lenders, equity investors and granting professionals in a common mission to drive social change and help communities thrive and prosper through creative partnerships and financial ventures.

An expert communicator, your broad business and educational experience has created a sharp business acumen that complements your personal resolution to contribute to positive change. You have direct, interactive experience with corporate boards and a proven track record in leading teams through change. Your post-secondary degree and 10+ years of executive leadership have prepared you to lead the charge of putting our assets to work for the communities we serve in a way that is creative, responsible and sustainable.
