Just Listen for a Change
Nov 13 - 14, 2010
Presented by: Rachelle Lamb
The failure to register another’s feelings is a major deficit in emotional intelligence, and a tragic failing in what it means to be human. For all rapport, the root of caring, stems from emotional attunement, from the capacity for empathy.” - Daniel Goleman
You will never view emotional intelligence the same way again. Ever noticed that in charged situations, the more people speak, the less they understand one another? And when people feel misunderstood, tensions escalate, issues go unresolved and relationships suffer. The way out of this toxic way of relating is to train the mind to listen differently and engage the heart’s innate capacity to empathize. Undoubtedly the success of both personal and professional relationships hinges on this ability. This workshop introduces participants to a powerful and radical approach to establishing rapport that consistently yields positive results, even in the most challenging situations. Experience increased levels of trust and goodwill … the prerequisite foundational blocks that inspire human beings to collaborate creatively and effectively.
Rachelle Lamb, author, speaker and president of Mindful Communication, has shown thousands how to break new ground using the Nonviolent Communication process.
