The Social Change Institute (SCI) belongs to Hollyhock’s Leadership Institute, home to a conference series which has helped establish British Columbia as a hub of the emerging social economy – catalyzing new relationships, quickening the spread of innovation, and building community for leaders of social change and sustainability.

Many leaders of change experience isolation, overwork, and lack of time to learn or collaborate. Hollyhock’s Social Change Institute is an antidote to this problem. This conference is leading innovation in social change and is recognized by non-profit and activist leaders on an international scale. It has an unmatched reputation and provides high level learning, networking opportunities,  and transformational impacts. SCI provides a unique networking function to a vital community of social change practitioners, introducing them to ideas and people outside of their regular networks, and quickening the pace of innovation and impact.

Relationships formed here are robust, as the setting of Hollyhock cultivates deep connection and transformation. The Social Change Institute is designed to maximize knowledge-sharing and partnerships, showcasing renowned leaders in their field and homegrown successes. Participants lead community organizations, large and small businesses, and non-profit organizations working toward sustainability, social justice, and economic development from across BC, Canada, and around the world.

Who: 80-100 participants: passionate professionals at a nonprofit/NGO, public agency or other organization, social innovators or social entrepreneurs, organizational trainers and consultants, and aspiring social impact leaders.

What: A five day leadership and skill-building summit in the heart of coastal British Columbia.

Where: Hollyhock, Cortes Island, BC

Tuition for the program is $495 plus taxes plus meals and accommodation for four nights at Hollyhock.

When: Wednesday June 5th to Sunday June 9th, 2013

Accommodation at Hollyhock includes all meals, snacks, socials, refreshments, use of hot tubs, yoga, and our sanctuary. Transportation costs range, depending on your mode of travel.
