Spacial Dynamics® founder Jaimen McMillan to lead movement workshops in Vancouver, February 24 and 25
Workshops demonstrate new and effective techniques to deal with stress and improve physical well‐being
Jaimen McMillan, RSMT, SDMMI, founder and director of the Spacial Dynamics Institute in upstate New York, will be leading movement workshops in Vancouver on February 24 and 25. A master fencer, McMillan has been working world‐wide in the field of movement for over three decades. His unique approach to space and spatial awareness challenges us to think, feel and act in creative, effective and exciting ways that offer a new approach to meeting others, difficult situations and the world around us.
Workshops held in Vancouver are suitable for business people, employers, educators, caregivers, health and wellness professionals, and anyone interested in learning new techniques to manage stress, improve physical health and overall wellness.
Spacial Dynamics® offers a new understanding of our personal energy level. McMillan believes energy isn’t something we collect, ‐ it happens between ourselves and another person or situation. “We can learn new ways to meet what’s coming toward us,” says McMillan. “By changing our personal space we can shift how stressful experiences affect us on mental, emotional and physical levels.”
Spacial Dynamics® engages one’s personal space to meet other people and situations in ways that enhance alertness and presence, facilitate ease of physical movement and increase energy levels. Through specially designed techniques and exercises, participants can learn more about their own personal space and create healthier movement patterns. “One can learn to wear one’s space, rather than getting worn down by it,” says McMillan. Jaimen McMillan will be presenting an evening lecture in Vancouver on Friday, February 24, 2012 on managing stress and avoiding exhaustion. He will also hold an introductory Spacial Dynamics® workshop on Saturday, February 25, 2012. Both events will be held at the Vancouver Convention Center. For more information, visit
