Account Manager, Community Business – Western Centre

Reporting to the Regional Manager, Community Business this position attains portfolio growth objectives for small to medium size businesses through sales and marketing strategies targeting Community Impact lending opportunities. Vancity is active in the area of community investment, providing financial advice to members and agencies engaged in business which creates social and environmental benefit, as well as economic benefit – for a long time. The Account Manager also proactively manages and services an assigned book of accounts with the goal of expanding and retaining existing relationships by proactively sourcing, selling and referring additional business and retail opportunities.

You have a reputation for being a high energy and focused individual, while your positive attitude and passion for life leave others wondering how you balance it all! Your profile is highlighted with strong negotiation and communication skills and is ideally supported by a degree/university level diploma in finance, economics, accounting or business administration plus two years of related experience in business lending and sales activities, including two years experience servicing mission aligned members or equivalent experience. Additional volunteer and Board level involvement with social enterprises is an asset.
