As the successful candidate you will:
1. Administration
- Ensure the effective and efficient management of CADS.
- Develop and implement policies approved by the Board of Directors.
- Organize the Annual General meeting and regular board meetings.
- Provide support and assistance to Board Committees to assist in achieving their mandates.
2. Financial Management
- Administer and monitor the financial affairs of the Association in conjunction with the Treasurer, accountants and auditors engaged by the Board.
- Manage the cash flow of the Association.
- Liaise with the Auditor.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information using Quick Books system.
3. Member Relations/Communications
- Oversee and administer the insurance program for members, Divisions and Clubs.
- Working with the Member Relations Coordinator, oversee the management of the membership registration system.
- Represent the Association at symposia and meetings designated by the Board where the presence of the Association may further its objectives and represent the Associations’ views and interests.
- Liaise between the Association and National agencies serving people with disabilities.
- Respond to enquiries, requests for information and general correspondence.
- Ensure that Board members and other stakeholders are kept aware of developments or events which may impact the Association or its programs through correspondence, bulletins etc.
4. Event Management
- Working with the Festival Organizing Committee, implement all aspects of the annual CADS Festival.
5. Planning
- Manage the Strategic Plan by implementing and monitoring actions identified in the Strategic Plan.
- Working with the Fund Development Coordinator, identify, cultivate and recruit partners and sponsors for the Association.
- University or College graduate and a minimum of 5-years of equivalent management within a sport industry.
- In-depth working knowledge of Canadian amateur sport system as well as of the Canadian Sport for Life model inclusive of Long Term Athlete Development.
- Excellent communication skills with high level of writing and presentation.
- Bilingual.
- Proven ability working with volunteer board and committees.
- Accounting/book-keeping skills with experience in Quick books an asset.
