Investment Analyst, Community Capital

With direct experience in lending, private equity, mezzanine capital, venture capital, leveraged finance, social finance, patient capital and/or investment banking, combined with a personal desire to have a positive impact in the community, you will find your skills and experience well utilized and be able to grow them even further in this new team within Vancity.
 
As a member of the Community Capital team you’ll assist in providing alternate forms of capital to a targeted mix of growth-oriented businesses, including non-profits, co-operatives and community-based organizations. And most importantly, you’ll be an important part of an experienced and talented group who’s common mission is to drive social change and help communities thrive and prosper through creative partnerships and financial ventures. You are an excellent communicator and your broad financial and educational experience complement your personal resolution to contribute to positive change. You have direct experience at a firm providing mezzanine capital, venture capital, private equity, leveraged finance or social enterprise capital, and preferably have broad exposure  to innovative financial lending. You have a strong skill base in financial modeling and analysis, due diligence, industry research, risk and monitoring loans/investments.  These skills are complemented by a proven comfort in building relationships with investees/borrowers and other third parties.  You have desire to learn within the investment and lending fields and you have a passion for making a big difference with every dollar.  Your post secondary degree and 2+ years experience has helped you to become an important contributor, but also one who is looking to help take Vancity and our communities forward.
