Marketing Intern

Who You Are:
You are looking to join our team to gain experience and learn from a leading green marketing company. You know, or want to know, the LOHAS market. You want to help us grow and engage our community of ethicalShoppers and green businesses. The internship position is an unpaid position that has a minimum commitment of 10-20 hours a week for 3 months. Interns can expect to be exposed to a wide range of marketing tactics including social media, events, online marketing campaigns, blogger outreach and more.

We don’t expect our interns to go fetch coffee – we treat them as one of the team and expect a lot from them. In return you will come out of the internship with outstanding applied experience that can’t be learned in any school or program.

Internship is based out of our downtown Vancouver headoffice.

Responsibilities:

• Write blog posts on healthy green living topics
• Support social networking activities (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Blog, Youtube)
• Update social media metrics
• Assist at events/tradeshows
• Provide sales support by researching green business leads that meet our criteria and entering them into the CRM for sales to pursue
• Blogger outreach and campaign development
• Basic Design/HTML (If Capable)
• Other duties and special projects as required

Requirements:

• Passion for green marketing
• Currently completing a degree or diploma in marketing, communications, PR, sales or equivalent
• You are tech savvy and have a strong grasp of social media
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
• Very well organized, strong attention to detail
• Self starter
• Ability to multi-task
• Laptop and cell phone required for work use
• Bonus: Photoshop, basic html, google analytics experience
