REACH, a non-profit community health centre located in East Vancouver, has provided medical, dental, counselling, nutrition, and multicultural family services to a wide range of clients for more than 40 years. REACH’s reputation for innovation and excellence is known nationally and internationally, and this leadership position will contribute to readying the organization for its next 40 years of service to the residents of East Vancouver. 
 
We have a 4.5 million dollar budget used to deliver health, social services and dental services, partially funded by our two social enterprises with a staff of over 65 full and part time staff.
 
It is an exciting time at REACH as we position each of our operations, and our dedicated staff, for major change: Our building has reached the end of its life and we are currently seeking new opportunities related to where we will live.  
 
As such, we are seeking an Operations Manager that has experience with “change,” both formally in terms of process as well as in leading a structured organization through significant uprooting and renewal. We are seeking a mentor, a doer, and a leader for this role.
 
Duties and responsibilities for this role include: change management, human resource management, IT and facility management, ensuring employee compliance with REACH policies and procedures, managing REACH’s onboarding processes, privacy management, mentoring direct reports, internal communications, performance management, and being a key member of our management team. (0.8 to full time)
 
Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
A minimum of 7 – 10 years progressive experience in human resource management in agency with 60 or more employees, process management, and change management;
Successful project management experience where adherence to milestones, budgets and project goals have all been demonstrated;
Must have demonstrable leadership experience;
Hands-on experience in facility, contract  and IT management (including optimally electronic medical and/or dental record systems;
Communications planning;
Two to three years of academic preparation such as CHRP, CMA, or MBA.
Marketing or public relations experience is an asset;
Speaking more than one language to complement our multicultural staff is an asset.
