We are currenlty seeking a reliable and creative contract software developer for full time participation on a six month open source project. Strong PHP/MySQL skills are required. Experience with Web 2.0 and an interest in current events and the environment would be great. Must have good communication skills and follow good coding and documentation practices. Experience with the Facebook Developer platform is preferred.

Qualifications:

• PHP/MySQL
• Performance and scalability experience related to PHP and MySQL
• Javascript 
• AJAX
• HTML/CSS, browser compatibility issues
• Experience with CVS/SVN
• Good communication skills
• Strong coding and documentation practices
• Individual contractor, based in Seattle
• Willing to work collaboratively on site 1-2 days per week if needed
• Start in late November or early December
