Objective: 
The Regional Sales and Marketing Communications Coordinator is responsible for marketing and sales support functions that will strengthen relationships with our pre-existing corporate customers, generate awareness around the Bullfrog Power brand, increase our presence at appropriate functions and events, and provide support to the Sales Manager for lead generation and qualifying corporate prospects.

Specific Responsibilities:

Marketing Communications:
  • Acting as regional corporate client liaison; including relationship building, identifying and meeting marketing and promotional needs
  • Identifying, networking and fostering relationships with partner associations and local influencers such as ENGOs, sustainability consultants, etc.
  • Coordinating and executing a variety of Bullfrog Power sustainability events and external events such as community festivals, trade shows and conferences
  • Coordinating and hosting seminars and 'lunch and learn' sessions for customers including arranging promotional and marketing items, catering and signage
  • Providing corporate clients creative and relevant marketing communications tools
  • Liaising with a variety of vendors and suppliers, sourcing and ordering promotional items
  • Executing communications programs in collaboration with the marketing communications department and business units
  • Working with head office on idea generation for region-specific press releases and media pitches
  • Creating regional communications pieces for e-Buzz and Buzz, etc.
  • Public outreach at appropriate residential, corporate, networking and community functions through public speaking, information sharing, etc.
  • Proposing content for social media channels to head office, and proactively seeking out opportunities to recognize customers or provide thought leadership on sustainability

Sales Coordination and Research:
  • Compiling lists and analyzing prospective customers for lead generation, based on information from newspapers, business directories, and other sources, as directed by the Sales Manager
  • Developing prospect profiles for potential sales targets, including commercial lead entry for follow up
  • Creating reports to assist in the development of strategic sales pitches
  • Helping to draft the sales proposals or presentations, tabulating electricity or natural gas usage as directed by the Sales Manager

Administrative functions:
  • Interviewing, selecting, training and supervising Bullfrog Power's event representatives
  • Managing office functions including, but not limited to, processing mail/couriers, office logistics, commercial customer processing and data entry
  • Coordinating travel for western region
  • Managing promotional and stationary supply
  • Arranging timely transportation and delivery of event, marketing and promotional items
  • Approving and processing event representative payments
  • Record keeping and monthly reconciliation of regional marketing budget
  • Maintaining and updating current commercial customer list for Western region
  • Assisting in the decision-making process for budget usage

Qualifications:
  • Degree or diploma in a relevant discipline such as English, Business, Marketing, Communications, or Environmental studies
  • 1-2 years experience in marketing and/or sales support
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Have strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrate initiative as a self-starter and independent worker
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Event management experience
  • Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Understand the value proposition of Bullfrog Power
  • Demonstrate a passion for environmental issues
  • Valid driver's license
