OBJECTIVE
Institute B invites you to apply for an exciting internship as a junior business developer.  institute B is an accelerator and consulting partner that gives high growth companies a process to provide consistent results.  As an intern, you will have an excellent opportunity to work with the institute B team and learn from experienced entrepreneurs that helped build some of the world’s best brands such as Starbucks, lululemon, Microsoft and IKEA.  You will learn how to sell a complex service to high-growth retail, apparel and consumer goods companies. 
 
EXPECTATIONS & TASKS
The intern will be responsible for generating quality leads for institute B’s BSpoke Consulting Services.  Working directly with the head of Business Development Aaron Vidas responsibilities will include:
  • Creating and managing email marketing campaigns to CEO’s, Board Members and senior leaders of Venture Capital and Private Equity groups. You are expected to grow this list to 2000 qualified business leaders.
  • Using pre-defined criteria, identify leads through online and phone research. Determining their business performance, company culture and potential needs.
  • Preparing presentations and proposals to potential clients. When appropriate, attending sales meetings and calls. 
  • Assisting with hand-off of successfully signed projects to institute B team for implementation
 
REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience running a successful email marketing campaign that enticed a group of people to buy a product or service, attend an event, etc.   
  • Familiarity with basic business concepts such as: revenue, gross and net margin and how venture capital and private equity business models work.
  • Excellent research skills. Comfortable finding information such as number of employees, names of board members online and on the phone.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Self-starter with passion to sell new ideas and implement strategies.
  • Must have access to computer.
