Our local sales ambassadors are an integral part of our team. You are responsible for securing commitments from the best green businesses in Victoria including Oceanwise
certified restaurants, Fair Trade coffee shops, organic spas, outdoor activities, holistic health practitioners,
eco-retail stores, green cleaning services and more!

In general, we’re looking for people who know and love their GREEN city. ethicalDeal is a fast-paced and fluid startup – so you should be able to think on your feet, work hard and motivate yourself. If you live in Victoria, posses a wide variety of connections (preferably in the green vertical) and have a love for relationship based selling then this position might be for you.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and cultivate leads for ethicalDeal using a variety of online and offline sources
  • Set up phone and in-person meetings with qualified prospects
  • Present ethicalDeal as a unique alternative for businesses to acquire new customers and gain exposure
  • Assess potential business deals, negotiate favorable terms and acquire prospective commitment
  • Manage relationships with established clients and construct proposals and contracts within selling guidelines
  • Communicate ongoing contact and sales activities utilizing Zoho.com
  • Gather the required information for the feature and liaise with the local Community Manager and head office to publish the deal
  • Manage the deal discussion board
  • Provide documentation on new client acquisitions and be available for weekly phone meetings with head office
  • Meet individual monthly sales goals

Requirements

  • 3+ years of sales experience (online advertising, direct marketing, local advertising are a plus)
  • Experience canvassing and cold-calling into various types of local businesses with evidence of consistent and current success
  • Working understanding of a CRM system
  • Knowledge of social media such as Facebook and Twitter
  • Exhibit self-motivation, flexibility and adaptability to new situations
  • Possess ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining focus and productivity to meet deadlines
  • Strategically and creatively think in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate top-notch communication and presentation skills with the ability to sell at all
  • decision making levels
  • Prior experience working from home/virtual office is strongly preferred
