We frankly have many more leads than we can follow up, and we need to add another quality sales assistant to our team.

In this central sales support role, reporting to the CEO and supporting the entire sales team, we are seeking a genuine team-player with a talent and passion for the following:

  • Collegial teamwork: a readiness and enjoyment of pitching in and making a difference.
  • Detail-oriented preparation of quotations and RFPs.
  • Professional oral and written communication skills: strong on letters, reports, proposals and direct client interaction.
  • Lots of number crunching, where every percentage point is crucial.
  • Liaison between sales reps and autoCAD department/administration in supply of client& operational information.
  • Problem solving with factories, reps, and customers regarding in-house orders.
  • General office administration, phone response, problem-solving, all reflecting an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong service orientation.
  • Remaining calm, focused and aware of the big picture under pressure and deadline.
  • Discretion, maturity and awareness of appropriately handling confidential and sensitive information and showing respect for others at all times.
  • Increasing involvement with A/P, so some bookkeeping experience would be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing quotations, readying orders in databases.
  • Learn TmDesign and Caps databases and major product lines.
  • Be available for on-site and factory training. Take initiative to learn peripheral product lines.
  • Answer phones and refer to voice-mail when necessary (these duties shared amongst 3 positions).
  • Assist in all aspects of dealing with the many intricate details associated with the specification and tracking of our orders.
  • Take initiative in finding and correcting potential errors and ensuring quality control on orders.
  • Attend a sales/operations meeting once per week at 7:45am.
  • Other duties as assigned or noted as necessary - take initiative to see and complete whatever those tasks might be.
