Exciting Lunchtime Lecture Series Announced

Want to make a difference but don’t know how? Explore the tactics, creativity, pitfalls, and challenges of what it takes to create change in the world. A potent mix of storytelling and skill sharing, this series brings together leaders who used creative thinking and courage to change the world. Speakers come from the worlds of activism, business, the arts and many others. With this series you’ll learn new ways to make change in your community and beyond, by hearing their personal struggles and what they did to overcome the odds.
Our long time partners, Hollyhock and Hollyhock Leadership Institute, in collaboration with UBC and Vancity, have developed a fabulous lunch time speakers series entitled: Leading for Change – Making Change Happen. This dynamic series will feature some of the best Social Venture Institute (SVI) and Social Change Institute (SCI) speakers (David Eby, Peter Robinson, Tzeporah Berman and Judy Rebick) and will take place once a month from September thorugh December at UBC Robson Square during lunchtime (12:00 - 1:30 pm). Organic coffee and tea will be provided.
The cost is $15 per lecture and $12 for non-profits, seniors and students. Please note that there is a 10% discount for signing up for more then one lecture. To register, call UBC Continuing Studies: 604.822.1444.
